Getting started with MetaTrader 4
MetaTrader 4 (MT4) is the free platform most FxErvin traders use to place signals — here's how to install it, log in and find your way around.
Install MT4
Download MetaTrader 4 from your broker or the official MetaQuotes site, then install it on your PC, Mac or phone.
Log in to your broker account
Open File → Login to Trade Account and enter the login, password and server your broker gave you. Practise on a demo account first.
The interface
- Market Watch — the list of instruments and their live prices.
- Chart — price history for the selected instrument.
- Terminal — your open trades, balance and history.
Place your first trade
